1. Who we are
This service ("Skip the Course", the "Service") is operated by Cherie LaFlamme ("we", "us", "our"), acting as the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the Service. You can contact us at the email listed on our site.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account & contact data: name, email address, login credentials.
- Course data: answers, notes, generated content, and progress you create inside the course.
- Support data: messages you send us.
- Usage & device data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages visited, basic telemetry.
- Marketing data: email signup source, subscription preferences.
Payment data (card details, billing address, tax information) is collected and processed directly by our reseller Paddle and is not stored by us.
3. How we use your data
- Create and manage your account (contract performance).
- Provide the course, save your progress, and deliver the products you build (contract performance).
- Send the free guide and transactional emails (contract performance / consent).
- Send occasional product updates you can unsubscribe from (legitimate interests / consent where required).
- Customer support (contract performance).
- Security, fraud prevention, debugging, and improving the Service (legitimate interests).
- Comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).
4. Who we share data with
- Paddle.com Market Ltd — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payments, billing, tax, invoicing, refunds, and subscription management. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
- Hosting and backend providers that store and serve the application and database.
- Email delivery providers used to send the free guide and transactional emails.
- AI model providers used to generate course outputs from your inputs.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your course inputs or outputs to train third-party AI models for purposes unrelated to providing the Service.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers are located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Retention
We keep account and course data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise these rights by emailing us. EU/UK residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. We aim to respond within one month.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging, to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
